Plan your visit

Splash Park

Open on all weekends, Public and school holidays and any sunny days during term time between April and the end of August, 11am till 7pm, weather dependent. Closing time might be extended during peak summer months.

Please aim to arrive around 10 minutes before your session start time. We’ll quickly check your tickets so please have these printed or ready to show on your cell phone.

All kids have to attend with an adult (Age 18+)
Dogs not allowed
Stay seated at all times
No swimming or splashing
No smoking or alcohol
Be careful of the wildlife
No picking up passengers
Do not get out of your boat except at the jetty
Stay away from the lake edges
Do not cross floating lines
Please consider other users
Please report any First Aid incidents to staff immediately

You can chose a 20 min or a 40min ride. Your time starts once you depart from the jetty. To explore the lake fully choose 40 min ride.

Unfortunately babies that are under 1 years old are not permitted.

Yes you can leave those with us but make sure that you take all valuables with you.

Public toilets are located behind the parks cafe.
First Aid

Directions & Location

The lake is situated at the back of the cafe and playground in the middle of Barking Park, Barking, Essex.
The following transport lines have routes that pass near Barking Park:
Bus – 5, EL1, EL2; Train – Barking station on C2C, Overground and Underground – Barking station on District line. Train station is 10 minutes walking distance from the lake.

PLEASE NOTE THERE IS NO SPECIFIC POSTAL ADDRESS for the lake itself as it is positioned in the middle of Barking park.

There are parking spaces on the nearby streets and two car parks inside Barking Park:

FREE car park is accessed via South Park Drive, entrance between allotments and bus stop. Use postcode IG11 8FF, Ilford, UK for directions.

PAID car park accessed via Long Bridge Road through the main Barking Park gates. Use postcode G11 8TA, UK for directions. This is the building right next to the park’s main entrance gates.

Once your magical adventure comes to an end you can cool down in the Splash Park, where you can try Walk-on-Water balls or take the fun adventure into other exciting spots such as gigantic bouncy castle at Bounsea.

Other facilities of the park include cafe, playground, skatepark, tennis courts, and public toilets. Beautiful garden are also there to explore.

Tickets

A limited number of general tickets are available onsite. To guarantee entry please book online.

All purchased tickets are non-refundable however they can be rescheduled up to 2 hours before the session/event. It is the visitor’s responsibility to monitor the weather and decide if the conditions are suitable for the children.

If there is availability and only at the discretion of the manager on duty will you be allocated the next available unicorn.

If the weather forecast suggest rain please reschedule your visit for alternative date/time. You can do so 2 hours prior to start time of your session.

If your ride has been canceled you will be notified as soon as possible and advise to reschedule it.

Events & Collaborations

Yes, we would be very happy for you to bring the guests to celebrate in The Magical Unicorn Lake. To proceed simply just purchase all the required tickets online.

Lost & Found

Although we are not responsible for any theft/loss, no such incidents have been noted to date. Lost and found items are kept in a Splash Park onsite office. Uncollected low value items such as towels, clothes, and small toys are donated to local charities at the end of the summer season. Please email info@splashparkbarking.co.uk to enquiry.
